The Legend of the Green Rectangle… Captain Ahmed Bilal… From Goal Scorer to Future Maker.

In a world where life's pace accelerates and paths to success diversify, a name shines as an icon of inspiration and determination, Captain Ahmed Bilal. He is not merely a football legend whose name has been etched in gold in the annals of Egyptian football, but a symbol of transcendence and boundless ambition. From an undisputed goal scorer on the green rectangle, who ignited the passion of fans and scored goal after goal, he has transformed into a successful businessman, investor, and media personality, weaving new chapters of achievement in a world no less competitive than football.

Ahmed Bilal's story with football began at an early age when his exceptional talent started to blossom. He quickly caught the attention of scouts, leading him to join Al Ahly Club, where his legendary journey began.

In his first stint with Al Ahly (1999-2005), Bilal was not just a forward, but a true goal-scoring machine, netting 60 goals in just 90 matches. This extraordinary performance made him one of the most prominent stars of the Egyptian League during that era, and his efforts culminated in a record that remains unbroken: scoring 31 goals in a single season in 2002.

Bilal's brilliance wasn't limited to Al Ahly. It extended to two successful professional experiences in the Turkish League with Konyaspor, where he scored 15 goals in 30 matches, and Ankaragücü, where he scored 3 goals in 13 matches, demonstrating his ability to adapt and excel in different environments. His return to Al Ahly for a second period (2007-2010) was a reunion with his first love, where he continued to add goals and titles to his impressive record, scoring 11 goals in 41 matches, eventually becoming team captain.

He also scored 7 goals in 23 matches with Smouha Club, and played for ENPPI, Naft Al-Wasat, and Al-Wehdat.

Beyond his remarkable club career, Ahmed Bilal was a key figure in various Egyptian national teams across different age categories. He represented the Egyptian national team in the U-17 World Cup in 1997, scoring 3 goals, and contributed to winning the African Youth Championship. With the senior national team, he played 36 international matches and scored 19 goals, leaving his mark in the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, and scoring a historic hat-trick in the 2011 Nile Basin Tournament.

These numbers and moments not only reflect his scoring prowess but also highlight his commitment and passion for representing his country with the utmost honor and determination.

Ahmed Bilal's football career was adorned with championships and titles. With Al Ahly Club, he won numerous Egyptian League titles, the Egypt Cup 3 times, the Egyptian Super Cup 4 times, and the CAF Champions League 3 times, in addition to the CAF Super Cup twice. Individually, he was crowned top scorer of the Egyptian Premier League in 2002, was the second top scorer of the Egyptian Premier League in the 2001-2002 and 2003-2004 seasons, and was the top scorer of the CAF Champions League in 2002.

These achievements have made him a true legend in the history of Egyptian football, and due to his prolific goal-scoring, his fans nicknamed him "Bilal Agwaal" (Bilal of Goals).

After retiring from the beautiful game, Ahmed Bilal did not content himself with merely crafting a glorious sporting history. Instead, he transcended the boundaries of the field to forge an enduring legacy, driven by a broader vision and deeper ambition. He took an inspiring step and made a bold decision to transition into the world of media and business, building on a strong foundation from his studies in Commerce and Business Administration at Ain Shams University, along with his practical experience and captivating leadership personality.

This transition was not easy, as the sports world is completely different from the business world. However, Bilal proved that the spirit of determination and intelligence that led him to success on the field could also guide him on this new path.

Ahmed Bilal moved to the analyst's seat at Al Ahly TV channel. This transition was not just a new job; it was a qualitative leap towards realizing his dream of sharing his love for football with millions. With his deep expertise and keen analyses of playing tactics and player performance, Bilal captivated the hearts of fans. This step was not merely a job but a bridge connecting his enduring passion for football with his ability to communicate with the public.

Ahmed Bilal's ambitions did not stop there. In 2021, he co-founded "Emaline Production Company," which quickly became one of the leading production companies in Egypt. The company has produced three successful series, with more projects currently under development. In this role, Bilal oversees creative direction, funding, and talent management, revealing another aspect of his leadership personality and his ability to see opportunities and turn them into reality. His success in this field underscores his mental flexibility and his ability to adapt to new challenges.

Because Ahmed Bilal's ambition knows no ceiling, he embarked on a new field through which he contributes to building his nation's future. In 2020, he co-founded a company specializing in construction and infrastructure, focusing on major national projects. This choice was not a coincidence; rather, it reflects a deep sense of social responsibility and a sincere desire to actively contribute to his country's development. His leadership of massive infrastructure projects demonstrates his exceptional ability in strategic planning and managing colossal projects, skills he honed throughout his athletic career, which demands unwavering discipline and meticulous planning.

What distinguishes Ahmed Bilal's story is the synergy between the skills he acquired on the field and those he developed in the business world. "Leadership" was a fundamental trait in his football career as a captain for Al Ahly and the national team, and this trait is clearly evident in his roles as a co-founder and director. "Analyzing football strategies" transformed into "business development" and "creative production," as both professions require foresight and the ability to plan and make tough decisions. "Public communication," which was essential as a beloved player, has become a cornerstone in his work as a TV analyst and business developer who negotiates and oversees large projects.

Captain Ahmed Bilal's story is a shining testament that true success lies not in achieving a single goal, but in the ability to reinvent oneself, challenge the conventional, and continuously strive for new horizons. Having etched an indelible football history, along with his clear imprints in the worlds of media, production, and construction, Bilal represents a unique model of a multi-faceted personality capable of transforming passion and determination into fuel for achievement in any field. His legacy is not limited to the goals he scored, but extends to the lessons learned from his perseverance, his leadership ability, and his insightful vision.
