Icon of Justice and Beauty.. Joyce Maroun... A Lebanese Journey Crafting Bridges from Challenges.
Joyce Maroun
Lawyer and Fashion Enthusiast
In the heart of the capital, Beirut, where stories of resilience intertwine with dreams of success, the tale of a woman who never accepted compromises was born.
Joyce Maroun—a name echoing today in courtrooms, political decision-making circles, and social media platforms—is not just a successful lawyer. She is a living embodiment of the Lebanese woman who combines steadfast positions with a gentle soul, and legal wisdom with creative passion.
The features of Joyce’s leadership personality began to take shape during her school years at the "Saints Coeurs - Sioufi" school in Achrafieh. Joyce was not an ordinary student content with academic achievement; she realized from a young age that human value lies in what one offers to society. She joined the "Groupe Missionnaire" missionary club, which was not merely honorary participation, but involved arduous field trips to border areas exhausted by wars. There, among tired houses and faces waiting for hope, Joyce learned that "Justice" is not just texts in books, but an act of relief and support for the oppressed and the needy.
She joined the Lebanese University in Beirut (Jal el Dib branch), where she immersed herself deeply in the study of Law, later earning a Master’s degree. For her, law was not just a profession, but a weapon through which she believed in the necessity of establishing justice in a homeland that loves freedom.
New horizons opened for Joyce when she moved to work as an office manager for a Member of Parliament. Here, Joyce was no longer just a lawyer defending her clients; she became part of the "legislative kitchen." She took on the position of office director, supervising the drafting of bills, studying complex legal files, and organizing political meetings.
Joyce demonstrated exceptional skill in managing electoral operations, serving as a fundamental pillar in the electoral machine, which gave her extensive field experience in dealing with public affairs and social services. In 2021, Joyce took a courageous decision for professional independence, opening her own law firm in the Mkalles area to begin a new chapter of professional excellence.
Joyce Maroun believes that a lawyer is the "voice of the voiceless." Therefore, she dedicated a significant portion of her time to specialized training courses in human rights, protection of minors, women’s empowerment, and combating all forms of violence against women. She did not stop at civil law; she underwent an intensive course at the Bar Association in 2022 regarding "Canon Law," allowing her to plead and defend before spiritual courts, standing by families in their most difficult circumstances.
This human rights activity qualified her to be an active member of sensitive syndicate committees. Since 2021, she has been a member of the "Women's Committee" and the "Child and Juvenile Rights Committee" at the Beirut Bar Association, reflecting the confidence of her colleagues in her competence and sincerity.
Joyce was never passive in her national convictions. In 2022, she decided to break the ice and entered the parliamentary elections as a candidate for the Maronite seat in the Chouf district within the "Sovereignty of a Nation" (Siyadat Watan) list. Her electoral experience was a lesson in perseverance, as she faced challenges with sportsmanship and unyielding determination.
Her political and national presence continued through her appointment as the Head of Legal Affairs for the "National Party" (Al-Hizb Al-Watani) in 2024, and her membership in the "Independents for Lebanon" gathering and the "Sovereignty Front." She is a free voice and a political and social writer who publishes articles to highlight flaws and propose solutions with a piercing legal vision.
As the President of the "Arab Youth Union in Lebanon" since 2021, Joyce carries a great responsibility toward the future generation. Through this position, she works to create opportunities for youth, encouraging them to engage in public affairs and bringing their voices to international forums, believing that the youth are the only force capable of lifting the nation out of its crises.
Joyce possesses a harmony between the rigor of law and the delicacy of art. She is not just a lawyer; she is an artist who studied modern oriental singing for three years at the Higher Institute of Music (Conservatoire). This sensitive side is reflected in her hobbies, which include reading, traveling to discover civilizations, and writing.
On the level of modern communication, Joyce has managed to build a digital community of more than 200,000 followers on social media platforms. With intelligence and authenticity, she used this influence to promote the beauty of Lebanon, support internal tourism, and back small and medium enterprises. She is a "blogger" of a special kind, merging beauty and fashion with social and legal awareness, delivering a message: "You can be elegant, interested in your beauty, and at the same time a political leader and a fierce lawyer for justice."
Joyce Maroun summarizes her vision of life in inspiring words: "Success is not just hard work; it is a journey in self-love and belief in inner strength." She always emphasizes that self-care and confidence in outward appearance are not superficial, but rather fuel that feeds self-confidence to succeed in the most complex cases.
Joyce speaks five languages (Arabic, French, English, Italian, and Turkish), making her a mobile cultural bridge and an international figure capable of representing Lebanon in the best light.
Joyce Maroun remains a model for the woman who left no dream without chasing it, and no right without defending it. Her success story is not just a biography full of titles, but a call to every Arab woman to believe in her multifaceted nature and not allow any social mold to restrict her ambition. She is the lawyer, the activist, the leader, and the artist... She is Joyce Maroun, who proves day after day that when "Justice" blends with "Passion," it creates miracles.
